Americas BBQ (TIME OUT MARKET)

I hesitated before giving my opinion, since it is a Haitian restaurant, I like the chef Paul Toussaint, I had a great experience at Kamuy and his other restaurant at Time Out Market. However, I went to this one, and specifically requested a gluten free dish, even though I am celiac. I was told to get the steak, that it would be the perfect option for me. However, the dish contained gluten and I was experiencing unpleasant symptoms. Unfortunately, I have no recourse. The meat, potatoes and salad do not typically contain gluten, but the sauce is always a risky element, it would have been nice to specify that it contains it and remove it from my dish. I believe this is a lack of respect for people with allergies. I prefer to be told, I don't know if the dishes contain it, I advise you to go eat elsewhere than to be told that there is none and to suffer afterwards. It is educational work regarding food sensitivities that must be done in this establishment. In short, very disappointed.
