Dong (owner) was excellent- listed which items used rice flower, put soy sauce on the side, and steered us away from the fried items including the clay pot meals which some are cooked with soy. We ordered grilled scallops, grilled lemongrass squid, crispy rice paper rolls, steamed rice, grilled lemongrass pork, and spicy eggplant.

This place can turn *most* dishes into a delicious gluten free meal. Dong, the owner, and his team, ooze warmth, hospitality and nothing-is-a-problem. Dong runs gluten free and celiac cooking classes. He’s passionate about Vietnamese food and sharing his knowledge with visitors The vibe of the restaurant is in keeping with An Bang - low key rustic beach (not in the running for interior design awards, but who cares when the menu not only delivers but is also reasonably priced). Highly recommend. Too busy eating to snap pics. Had the pork, shrimp and papaya salad with rice the first visit. Fragrant with mint. Had the baked fish in banana leaves the second time.
