A friend and I visited this spot before attending a show at Orpheum theatre. The menu was vegetarian, vega and gluten friendly, which was great to see. We ordered the neat loaf and the ravioli, both of which was delicious! The staff were courteous and food was served fast. I would definitely visit again and try other items on the menu and the collection of desserts, which looked good.

I've come here a handful of times now and have had good food and experience each time. The first time I went, I was warned by several friends who said they had a very strange and awkward experience with the servers, but I haven't experienced that myself. They are perhaps not the friendliest, but I get the feeling that they're going for a minimalistic and zen (maybe too zen?) level of interaction (i.e. they'll take your order and are helpful if you have questions or need suggestions, and they'll bring you your food, but they're not going to ask you how you are or anything like that). I've enjoyed all the food I've had from here. The Neatloaf (made vegan) was amazingly delicious especially with the mushroom gravy it comes with. There's a reason the Neatloaf Dinner and Neatloaf Sandwich are some of their best sellers. The vegan carne asada (soy-based) tacos were really good as well, and bigger than I expected (you get two). I got the tacos with a cup of dal as part of their lunch special, and the dal was lightly spiced and really good, too. Together, they made for a very filling lunch. Items that are vegan or that can be made vegan are clearly marked on the menu. I only wish it were easier to tell what's gluten-free, though. Only a handful of things are labeled on the menu as gluten-free, but the servers have been able to tell me what's gluten-free and what's not and what can be gluten-free.
