Andiamo, at 80 North Snelling Ave. in St. Paul, is a regular restaurant stop of mine, convenient to Summit Ave. area. (Two other locations, in Eagan and Woodbury.) Freshly made Italian cuisine, with regular and gluten free pasta, fresh salads, pizzas, and comfort foods such as garlic mashed potatoes, butter-and-lemon-dressed green beans, and roasted vegetables. Housed in the former Buffalo Wild Wings space in St. Paul, the restaurant has attracted a following, and service is congenial and attentive. With its subtle, piped-in music, conversing is easy, and requests for adjustments in spiciness level, or sauces, can often be honored. Happy Hour specials on drinks, appetizers, and pizzas are offered seven days a week. Cash payment ensures that no credit/debit card surcharge will be applied.
