I visited Andreas as part of a large (20+ guest) Christmas party for the law firm I work for. Everything from the food to the service was absolutely phenomenal. As a celiac, events like this are always stressful, especially in a new restaurant where I'm not sure if my dietary and safety needs will be properly addressed, however, those concerns were quickly put to rest when I realized the attentiveness of every single member of the staff. They had been alerted to my allergy/dietary restriction in advance and made sure to specifically customize the menu to ensure my food was safe. The staff guided me to the safe appetizer choices, the chef made the french onion soup without the crostini which was surprisingly phenomenal, and I repeatedly had every member of the staff ensuring me that every precaution was being taken without any prompting on my part. It was clear the staff was extraordinarily well trained both in service and allergy safety as well as cross contamination. Perhaps the best surprise was that a special flourless chocolate cake was made (even though it was not one of the options my company had chosen for dessert) to make sure that I had a safe desert option which was brought to me separately from the other desserts to prevent cross contamination. This was one of the best dining out experiences I have had since my diagnosis, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to every celiac diner for a special night out.
