Stopped here on the way home from helping out in Panama City after hurricane Michael. Upon entering there was a sign on the door that said “To our esteemed customers this is not a ‘taste and try’ restaurant. If you order it, you will pay for it. We aim to please... but our recipes and seasonings are special to us, and a little different”. They aren’t the only restaurant to pride themselves on their recipes and seasonings and it’s odd that they wouldn’t accommodate if there was something about your dish you didn’t like, or it wasn’t cooked properly/tasted funny/took too long etc. You’re SOL. Getting seated didn’t take long, the view of the water was beautiful. Getting WATER and meeting our waitress took around 10 minutes when it was not busy at all. While reviewing the menu, there were many notices and warnings that left a bad taste in my mouth. **NOTICE** Please make any Food Allergies or Dislikes Known To Your Server, Such as Dairy, Gluten, Garlic, Onions, Anchovies, etc. (understandable) Under the steak & fowl portion: If you insist on well-done steaks, we cannot guarantee appearance or tenderness. Second page, top of menu: Customers, please notice that there is a difference in both the size and price of the economy plate. Please make sure your preference is clear to your server when you order. Regular or Economy. Because our Crab Meat and oysters are fresh, you may find bits of shell Bottom of menu: NOTICE We use fresh Gulf of Mexico flounder. Please do not expect a boneless filet or whole fish. It seems as though they’ve had many complaints about their food for them to include those notices listed above. It just showed that they don’t care very much for the opinions/concerns for those paying. The prices were pretty high and it was more expensive to get something broiled than fried, when it should be the opposite. Probably because they would have to use better quality food since they can’t hide the lesser behind the batter. It took over 2 hours for 3 of us from start to finish as everything took a while to come out. Luckily the food was good or else nothing from the restaurant side would have been done about it.
