A Must-Visit Gem in Antigua During our recent visit to Antigua Guatemala, we had the pleasure of dining at Aqua Antigua, and it truly was an unforgettable experience. Nestled conveniently close to our hotel, this restaurant and bar exudes a charm that is elegant and inviting. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated with exquisite, thoughtful details that set the tone for a very special evening. The ambiance is romantically lit by candlelight, enhancing the already cozy and sophisticated decor. They even have thought of handy table-side handbag valets. A major highlight of Aqua Antigua is its upper terrace, which offers a stunning view of the sunset against the backdrop of Antigua’s majestic volcanoes. It’s the perfect spot to relax with good company and a drink to soak in the breathtaking scenery. Once we found Aqua, we returned several times during our stay. Each time, we found every meal to be superb, with each dish showcasing local flavors and ingredients at their finest. (They even had gluten free noodles for their Alfredo with shrimp entrée - what a treat!) Aqua is also perfect for a day of relaxing or working remotely from their cozy poolside cabanas. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our visits were perfect. So, for anyone visiting Antigua, a visit to Aqua Antigua is a must. It’s an experience that captures the essence of this beautiful city. Highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again!
