We came to Asado Argentinian Grill last year at around 9:30 pm to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We were ignored for 15 minutes and then we were told that they could not give us a table to sit. Since there were no tables available, my friend wanted to order a pastry to eat at her home. We waited by the pastry counter, the waitress and the owner would just look at us and ignore us. We decided to leave since they were too busy to sell us a pastry. I wanted to celebrate my Birthday and decided to give this restaurant a second try this year. We got there at 7:30 pm to be able to have a table to sit in and try the food. The owner was completely rude, after waiting for 5 minutes for the rest of our party of 7 people , he started questioning where our friends lived and where they were exactly, he then told us he needed to change us to a table of 4 people but we were a party of 7, (the rest were parking at the moment). The waiter had offered us drinks in the meantime, he said they had all kind of juices, we ordered a mango juice from the menu then the waiter after talking to the owner came back to our table and told us in a rude way they didn’t have mango juice. We decided to leave after being treated so poorly as a customer in the few minutes we were there. I celebrated my Birthday at another restaurant where I had the best steak meal, the most delicious dessert and excellent customer service. I really wanted to try all the meats at Asado Grill but I would rather eat at places where I am treated as a customer. When I go to a restaurant, I review the menu before attending to make sure that there are plenty of gluten free options due to allergies. The menu available at Asado grill seemed like the best option, I left disappointed the second time. ***Response to owner’s reply - You are rude and your assumptions are incorrect. When I go out to eat, I do not order just “bread and water”. We had asked to be seated close to the Kareoke because we love music. Your website clearly states that you had Kareoke at 9 pm. We were there to eat, because we are foodies and your restaurant seemed like a great option but we were also interested in your Kareoke hour. Sir, you incorrectly assumed that we were not going to spend money at your restaurant. In our group we had a BYU Office Manager, a UVU Program Director, a Nurse from Utah Valley Hospital, another Registered Nurse and a Business Manager from a wireless company. You gave us the worst customer service because you believed we lacked funds to pay for our meals. I am glad that my Birthday celebration ended well, you did not get to have my money and I had the best meal at another restaurant. Also, we will be sharing the experience we had at your restaurant with our coworkers and the many people we deal with on a daily basis.
