Ascione Bistro Hyde Park

WOW. Celiac's paradise. They have *handmade* GF pasta and only fry potatoes in the fryer. Eating here made me think about how Italy and Italian culture takes Celiac so seriously bc they think someone would be nuts to willingly avoid gluten. I also have a dairy allergy and they accommodated that very easily. I enjoyed the puttensca, some radicchio salad, the asparagus, and ofc the truffle fries :) I don't drink but the cocktails and wine list looked quite nice for someone who does. On top of that, the service was *excellent*!!!! Will be making this gem a regular go-to.

AMAZING PLACE. Really nice menu and everything was tasty. Maria was a great server. The place has an upscale feel and plenty of seating indoors and out. Service was very quick and drinks were constantly topped off and empty plates promptly removed. Gluten free pasta being available was great. Easy free parking in the shopping center lot! Reservations for groups 4+ by phone with a $50 deposit.
