Food was… overall very salty. Not sure if this is how it is suppose to be but from antipasti to pastas, they were all honestly quite salty. Ingredients may be fresh which we would like to appreciate but they are just too salty to be enjoyed. On the other hand, the service was great with solid gluten free options.

Authentic Italian comfort — done right 🇮🇹🍝 Ask For Luigi nails what so many Italian spots miss: heartfelt, homemade flavors in a cozy, no-fuss setting. Every dish here feels like it came from someone’s Nonna’s kitchen — warm, generous, and full of love. We tried the fresh house-made pasta (don’t skip the tagliatelle!) and it was absolutely perfect — al dente with rich, balanced sauces that didn’t try too hard. The meatballs? Melt-in-your-mouth good. Great for sharing, but honestly, you’ll want it all for yourself. The vibe is chill, the service is friendly and unpretentious, and it’s clear they care about quality. Gluten-free options were a big plus for one of our friends, and they didn’t feel like an afterthought. Make a reservation if you can — this place fills up fast for a reason. A true gem in Vancouver’s Italian scene.

Interesting experience at this place. It was good not great per my own taste preferences. My husband and I tried three dishes including one vegetarian, two appetizers, two desserts and three drinks. There is a $5 additional fee for each gluten-free noodle dish. For peoplenot from here, there is an additional GST fee that will be on the bill. The servers are attentive and polite. The location was intense outside. My husband and I are not locals so we parked 2 blocks away and passed by two dozen people on the streets. About half were on substances with a smaller group looking like they medically needed help because they might have overdosed. One individual not fully was flashing the street. While inside the restaurant I observed other patrons looking serious watching some individuals on drugs acting unusual and flashing the world as they passed by on the sidewalk and walking in the street. Three cop cars passed by throughout the meal along with two different ambulances with lights on. I hope they went to help the comatose druged-out people. This was disturbing and saddening so for me it affected my experience while at this place for a meal.
