While searching for a gelateria, I discovered Damiano Carrara. A delicious pastry shop, gluten-free. Very friendly service. A reason to make at least one stop in Lucca on my next trip.

we were in this pastry shop yesterday. there were 5 of us and we all agreed on the high quality of the sweets offered, but after tasting the savory ones... this proposal was also appreciated. After initial perplexity to understand the pastry shop's policy, we were satisfied. the place is elegant in every detail from the display case to the packaging. the products are gluten-free prepared on the spot, they also have ice cream. We were positively surprised by the meeting with Damiano. even though it was Sunday... he was there working and welcomed us with sympathy, simplicity and kindness. place with both internal and external space, there were numerous customers and it deserves it! certainly when you go for high quality ingredients the costs increase but the result is worth it and I highly recommend this place to everyone especially to those who do not eat gluten.
