Met close but distant family there for lunch we had a lovely afternoon the food was excellent. I would like to congratulate the management on their choice of waiting staff we were in the Stags Head lounge area it was busy only one staff member in attendance serving the bar taking meal orders and waiting on tables, she was amazing in a friendly cheery manner. We were a vegan, gluten free and eat anything crowd she coped with 12 of us + 6 kids from 4years to 15 years with aplomb well done that girl.

Looks impressive and grounds are very pretty this time of year. Service very good indeed. We did feel.the decor and menu would benefit from an update/modernisation/maintenance? Very traditional sandwiches and only white gluten free bread available. Overall nice.
