We were backpacking through England and we met with a friend and had my birthday dinner here at Avanti. We had lots of pasta dishes over our time in England, but nothing and I mean NOTHING has ever come close to how amazingly spectacular our food was here at Avanti. My sister and I are both Celiacs...so we were over joyed that Avanti offers gluten free pasta! The server, who I think was the owner, was so kind too, he helped me decide what to have...I ordered the Cremolini pasta dish. It was so delicious. It has been a couple months since our trip and I still think about that pasta regularly. I have tried to re-create it at home but have been unsuccessful. The flavours had such depth and richness. I've never had anything like it. So please, if you get the chance...visit Avanti. You won't regret it! 11/10 :)

We are on a mini break in Jesmond to tour the Northumberland coast. We are staying close by and have just eaten at Avanti. The staff are so lovely and friendly. Just had one of the best gluten free pasta dishes I've had in a long time and my husband had a lovely seafood pasta. Would highly recommend a visit if in the area xxxxx
