Avli Milwaukee

Any time I can find myzithra in Milwaukee I am immediately invested, and Avli did not disappoint! Having gluten free pita available for the hummus was another lovely surprise, the view is beautiful, experience was enchanting. We will be back in warmer weather to enjoy the patio!

We made reservations for a night out with a group of friends . Upon arriving we were greeted by the hosts and taken to our table There is indoor and outdoor seating , we sat indoors . Unfortunately there was a dripping ac unit over our heads from water condensation . The server was definitely busy but she did her best to explain the dishes to the group . We decided to go with a sampler appetizer that came with pita bread and also available gluten free pitas ( big kudos for the restaurant to offer these ) . Our drinks came out promptly with the sampler platter . Sampler platter was delicious especially the smoked eggplant dip Main courses were okay . I went for the moysaka that was individually baked . Having been to Greece dozens of times , this was a more Americanized approach of Greek food . The appetizer platter was better than the main dishes I would like to come back if the restaurant rotates their menu seasonally and adds new dishes to the menu . If it remains the same though I would probably skip for future
