Been here quite a few times previously - but for b'fast.
On arrival, asked if we had booked - got eye roll when said no (not previously been asked and Fri early lunch place wasn't booked out) Options offered were inside or out. We chose outside in the sun.
Outside is lovely - plenty of tables in or out of the sun, all by the lake. Small outdoor play area for kids to one side.
Made a point of smiling at all staff, and all (including 1st lady) were all lovely, attentive and very polite.
The person taking our g/f order doubled checked if it was for coeliac and made a point of marking that on the order. (nice attention to detail!)
Food was good, portions were generous. 'burger' was actually 2 slices of toasted g/f bread. It was a large stack that needed cutlery to be used to eat it. (we were looking for a smaller option, but with decent protein)
Approx $55 for 2 burgers and tea for 2.
Presentation was good and meal was nice.
We were both not too well afterwards - wondering if there was something in the mayo/ coleslaw that wasn't g/f or contamination with chips?
Overall, pleasant staff, pleasant food and pleasant surroundings. Enjoyed our time at Avocado's.
