Azar Aruba

Food was delicious, delivered in a timely manner, and our sever Shamee was amazing. Someone in our party was gluten free and she went above and beyond to make sure she knew what she was able to eat and stayed away from cross contamination. Shamee was kind and helpful and overall an amazing server. Each dish was curated perfectly and so flavorful. I would eat here again and again if I could! Reservations helpful!

This is a great spot! They are great about gluten free options! The baked feta dish is amazing the side dishes great and the desert wonderful! We had the Creme Brule which had a lovely blueberry reduction on the bottom. The Harrissa Carrots were a unique flavor that was really wonderful. The staff's attention to detail was remarkable. One gentleman noted my husband put his hat down and he got a side table coat hook so he could hang it up. Both my husband and I remarked on how attentive he was to that detail. We ate here twice while visiting in Aruba as it left such an impression on us! Highly recommend! Merlys and Nicko were our servers those 2 nights. Fantastic service.

Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner at Azar and I’d rate it 8/10. The octopus was really good, as was the Chilean sea bass, and crème brûlée. The skirt steak was fine and cooked well, but it was pretty bland and definitely required a sauce. I prefer a nicely seasoned steak that doesn’t need much else. I heard the person next to me who got a different cut of steak complain about the lack of flavor as well. I can’t have gluten and was disappointed to learn the chicken is marinated in soy sauce, so I couldn’t try it, though we heard good things about it. A couple of minor service snafus, but nothing that impacted our experience. I’d recommend Azar, though I think its sister restaurant Lima Bistro outshines it.
