Azteca | Family Mexican Restaurant

Been going to Azteca for almost 20 years, and it consistently has fantastic Mexican food. Great food, good service and good prices. My favorite is their Sopa de Albondigas (meatball soup). Dump a bowl of their salsa in it and get the flour tortillas with it. Perfect winter soup. My husband has to be gluten free and so he is able to order some of their dishes with corn tortillas instead of flour. He's never gotten sick from eating there. I do miss the little fried dessert they used to give you when they brought your check though.

The wait staff deserves a 5 rating, so polite, so quick, so willing to please. The decor was tired. The food was ok. I will say this. My brother and sister in law go there quite often as she needs gluten free, and they are so accommodating. My bro in law loves their tamales which apparently sell out rapidly. Though he has not been there more than half a dozen times, our waiter recognized him and said he would be sure to hold some. My camarones Mexicanos was mediocre for being a specialty of the house.
