Bedu is FANTASTIC and best of all - celiac friendly! Their menu is marked with gluten free indicators and the chef is very knowledgeable. On top of that, the food is some of the absolute best I have ever had. We were honestly blown away. The labneh is to die for. Big ups to the team for being accommodating and helpful!

I celebrated my birthday with a set dinner menu at BEDU. I was excited as I love the Oriental cuisine. I explicitly asked if the restaurant can cater for a vegan + gluten-free diet and was assured that it was no problem at all. Turned out that "we can accommodate your dietary requirements" meant: 1) I could not eat 50% (pita bread, yoghurt dip (babaganush) of the first course, which left me with carrot/cucumber sticks and hummus - no substitutes offered 2) Main dish: Instead of the baked eggplant and oriental risotto, I received steamed eggplant in tomato sauce and cooked rice with herbs - no protein substitute for the replaced Feta cheese/meat. kudos for the sauce which was the best part of the whole food experience. 3) Desert: Instead of the baked pastry with ice cream... I got 5 raspberries and 5 strawberries and 1 fig. Needless to say I was speechless. Conclusion: "cater for vegans" means cutting out all non-vegan (and GF) ingredients (no replacements offered), serve 50% of the regular menu but charge 100% menu price of 590$ ... that would have been a lot of hummus and anti-pasti from Marks & Spencer for 590$. First and last visit at BEDU as price-value is quite off and taste profile was average. I'd recommend you check (1) Shahrazad Lebanese Dining or (2) Francis instead - both top restaurants and very accommodating.

The lunch deal with free flow of drinks is really value for money in HK. The mezze flavours were astonishing good quality and put a big smile on my face. Glutenfree and tasty!! You can easily exchange with chef Eliah, or Alen ;), about your experience. He is kind and easy-going. You really feel at ease. Thank you!
