Our service staff was just great and she deserves 5 stars! Despite the rather disappointing menu for our group, she always maintained her friendliness and was great at communicating. However, I cannot recommend the Block House to allergy sufferers and people with intolerances, because the menu is not at all prepared for this and the kitchen - at least during our visit - offered no flexibility to respond to wishes. I had experienced this differently in a few previous years. So it remained with a baked potato with olive oil and salad, because there wasn't a single dessert option that was prepared without lactose and/or gluten. My conclusion: Unfortunately, great employees cannot make up for the inflexible cuisine of a large restaurant chain that relies on standardization and mass. It's kind of a shame... But allergy sufferers can go somewhere else!
