Babette's Bakery and Eatery

I've been going to Babette's for more than 2 years and I'm simply in love with their new space at the Sprig Wellness Centre! It's so beautiful, calm and relaxing! I have had almost every dish on Babette's menu and I love that it is healthy, farm to table style meals without any nasty ingredients. Fran, the owner is absolutely divine and always share such nice foodie tips with me when we visit! Highly recommend the gluten free, refined sugar free cheesecake and their halloumi salad - my absolute go-to's!

Just a warning to anybody expecting the gluten-free sourdough bread to look and taste like 'normal' sourdough bread (you know, the white stuff with holes in it but a nice chewy crust) unfortunately Babette's one - made I'm told with sorghum and brown rice - is effectively what I'd call 'rye' bread. Weighs a ton, is brown, but does at least have a chewy crust. I've no idea what the actual definition of 'sourdough' bread is, but I never realised it could be this! Nice 'rye' bread, nonetheless.
