If you have food allergies don’t come here.
I’ve came here for years and the food and service are amazing. Unfortunately I developed a gluten allergy which is getting pretty severe. The last two visits they did not adhere to my allergy. The time before last they tried so I give them that and the only negative was simply croutons on a salad. No big deal. I saw it and picked it off. This time was over a burger with a gluten free bun. I asked the server quite a few questions about it so she was well aware. She mentioned they had compliments on their gluten free buns so they must be good. The burger came out and naturally I poked at the bun because I am skeptical with such a severe allergy. So I waited for her to come back around so I can just make sure. I waited for a while and looked at it further. She was pretty busy inside so that’s why it probably took some time. I took a couple bites and she came by the table and I asked her if it was gluten free and she said she wasn’t sure, it didn’t look like it and that they’ll make me another one. She also asked if I was okay.
I rushed to the bathroom and I came back out and spoke to the manager. I informed him about my experience and how severe it is. He got my name and number and asked which server. I told him this probably isn’t a server issue. This has happened twice with different servers and both were made WELL aware.
Not one “ sorry” or “ I understand “. No empathy whatsoever. As someone who also works in the service industry I am truly disgusted.
