Had a great time with some friends. The first time I'd had ramen since having to go gluten and dairy free.
This place is serious about its spice--if you're into that you'll love this place, and food is still damn good for those who prefer things on the milder side.
Had a very nice, laid-back atmosphere, friendly in a casual way, very much pulling inspiration from streetwear, animation, and other pillars of pop culture. Very chill place, and it gave me the impression that while they understand their brand, their focus is on the food. And when we got our perfectly crispy tofu and pickles and our bowls of ramen, that impression was absolutely confirmed. And we were left in blessed peace to enjoy our food.
I haven't had a ton of ramen, haven't been able to due to dietary restrictions. But I've enjoyed a few good bowls in my time. This place was solid, accommodating, and the ramen was damn good, with cool touches of the restaurant's own flair: pickled mushrooms alongside bamboo shoots, and beautifully charred chasu, and not to mention an entire section of the menu dedicated to spicy dishes, ranging from habañero to carolina reaper.
Was hard to find parking, and while it was quiet when we got in, the acoustics are pretty echo-y, so for people with sensory issues you may wanna get out your loops (or other earplugs) when it's more packed. Those 2 things are really my only complaints, or more like fair warnings, seeing as the staff can't do much about them. The food lived up to the restaurant's name--stupid good. Their pickles in particular were fantastic. Over-all, a friendly and casual experience with some seriously good eats.
