Ballyroe Lodge Hotel

Stayed here on a 3 night package in August 2021. It was overall very good value for money. The hotel is in a quiet location 4km outside of Tralee Town, the grounds have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. Our room was basic and could do with updating of the decor but it was clean and had all the necessary amenities. We ate dinner in the restaurant each night as food was delicious and lots of options for me (being a Celiac). Breakfast was served upstairs in a room with panoramic views of the mountains (if the weather is sunny you can even have breakfast on the balcony). All the staff we dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly an absolute credit to the hotel. The Covid-19 protections were all in place as per current guidelines along with hand sanitisers all over the hotel. The only negative I have applies to Kerry in general not just the hotel and that is pricing of food and drink is a little on the high side but the hotel make up for this in portion size and sheer deliciousness!!

Excellent view of the mountains around Tralee from the Ballyroe hotel. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are ok, clean and functional. Gluten free breakfast is pretty much egg and GF toast, very much lacking in this department in comparison to even the most basic of other hotels. In their favour though, they did have gluten free peroni which was a major plus.
