Bamburgh

My wife is gluten free, and Green King pubs offer a gluten free menu. We had a great meal a week or so ago in Newcastle so thought we would try this one. My wife had a steak with jacket potato, and I just had a light bite of salt and pepper chicken strips. Unfortunately the steak had more gristle in it than meat, and my chicken strips were normal not salt and pepper, just came with some peppers and onions on them. It would have been nice to offer our feedback but no one came to clear our plates? Even when we left the plates were still on the table??

Excellent food and service as a coeliac I find eating out difficult but when I asked for a gluten free menu and this was sprayed and cleaned before handing it to me this made such a different that the staff understood. My order was brought out before the others that I was dinning with and for once I was able to relax and enjoy my meal. Praise should be given to the staff for their knowledge and understanding.
