Stopped in on a hot summer Saturday night. Great atmosphere and quick service. We got there around 530p and no wait for a “self serve table.” Various spots to sit from outside to inside. I got the Saturday ribs and they were fantastic. Would definitely get them again. Wife got sausage and it was excellent. Lots of choices to choose from. They even had a gluten free menu. And the dog even got sausage. Love music was awesome. We were at front table and it was loud for conversations. Just an FYI. Very dog friendly and chill staff which is a plus. Highly recommended.

Some of my favorite barbecue in Austin! The host at the front of Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden can help you to find seating, and they have plenty of large picnic tables available both inside and outside. If you sit indoors, it’s typically quieter, as with the outdoor seating you can hear the surrounding live music from the popular Rainy Street. We sat inside because we wanted to take advantage of their AC, and we were able to order by scanning a QR code custom for our table, and we were able to pay directly from our phones via Apple Pay. I will be repeating this order again every time I’m here: The Smokehouse Elote ($6) is best and most unique corn on the cob I’ve ever had. Thankful that me asking for no cotija cheese on the online order form worked perfectly the first try, and it was brought to me without cheese (I’m lactose intolerant, I’m sure the cotija cheese makes it even more delicious). Under Smokehouse BBQ, the Sweet & Spicy Pit Ribs ($27) are Limited Availability, as is with most great barbecue in Austin it seems. The description of the sauce was accurate - a delightful combination of sweet and spicy sauce was slathered on the half rack of pork ribs. I loved the taste of the pickles it came with, and it also had pickled onions and pickled jalapeños on the side with it. It came with extra sauce, but I personally didn’t think you needed it. The Giant Soft Pretzel ($11) was perfectly salted pretzel and was also very good; it was brought out warm and served with your choice of cheese and/or mustard. I was thrilled to see that they carry my favorite gluten-free & alcohol-free beverage that pairs perfectly with barbecue: Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher in a 12oz glass bottle ($4.50) basically a non-alcoholic light IPA (hoppy) meet-seltzer water. I hope that more restaurants follow and start carrying this delicious & refreshing beverage!
