Banyan Tree Indian Restaurant Moonee Ponds

By far the best Indian food I’ve had in Melbourne. Sometimes I feel heavy after eating Indian food, not sure why but I never feel heavy after eating here. I’m assuming the quality and ingredients are just really good. I’m also celiac, so I appreciate that they are always careful with that - they even called me a few times to make sure that I knew some of the food contained gluten. Would recommend most of the dishes on the menu, but the punjabi style butter chicken and goat korma are out of this world. Prices are very fair and portions are generous.

First time visiting this restaurant. There were three of us and one of us required gluten free and had food allergy. The staff were very accommodating. So 5 stars for the service. We ordered Lamb biryani, Madras chicken and Paneer masala with Garlic and Kashmiri naans. It was very tasty even though we had asked for low spice. Other places I have tried before make the food taste bland with low spice. But not this place. We will definitely be returning.
