Great spot to eat in Varenna. Gorgeous views onto Lake Como. Hugely popular. Separate queuing system for upper and lower terraces. Staff were vigilant with queue jumpers making the wait fair. Be prepared to wait 20-30 mins at popular eating times. It got quieter around 3pm. We loved our spot and weren't rushed by staff. I am gf/df and the staff told me I couldn't have the fries or rustic potatoes as they were cooked in oil that had flour. I liked their honesty. They did provide gf/df bread when bringing bread out for my non coeliac friend. We had salads as needed something light to eat in the heat! I would go back.

Loads of gluten free options available! The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating with coeliac disease. I had grilled chicken with veg and a pistachio panna cotta for afters! It does get busy in the summer so just be patient with the staff.
