Bar Nico

Everything is gluten free which was amazing, I didn't have to worry about only getting to choose from two items on the menu. The salsa options were a bit odd, there was a cheese/yogurt type dip among the four they give you and it just didn't fit with the Latino flavors well, it was more Mediterranean in taste. Definitely pricier for how much food you get but the chips are a free refill. When I asked about diet pop options I was told they didn't have any but they have what appeared to be a full bar with a fountain pop sprayer (which normally would have at least one diet option). The only thing I could have to drink was water there (I'm a type one diabetic and regular pop is a bad situation).

This is the best thought out and presented North Mexican food I have had outside of Mexico. The flavors, textures, and imagination were amazing, the presentation beautiful, and wine list, though small, well selected, and, of course , it is gluten free (important to one of out party). The service was attentive, without being obtrusive, and the owner even lowered the music in our area so we could talk.

Was happy to find that the only truly celiac-safe restaurant in the area is also to accommodate MANY food sensitivities if you order ahead. Our dishes were tasty and the special guac created for us was wonderful. Our server was attentive and fun, but not overbearing and we had a great time!
