I had a really nice breakfast here on 8 April 2023. There were good gluten-free options and the big breakfast was really filling. The staff were very friendly and attentive and I thought it was pretty reasonably priced given the spectacular location. I would definitely recommend this place.

We came here for a family farewell breakfast on a Sunday - 7 adults and 2 kids. I arrived first and waited a few minutes (with other non-related parties) to be seated, despite having a booking - nobody came to acknowledge us while waiting. The waitress explained that the breakfast menu was alternate drop with shared fruit and pancakes to start, but asked if the kids would prefer something off the kids menu which we thought would be best (pancake meal to themselves). The kids pancakes didn't come with fruit so we ordered that separately. Waitress suggested to the take the kids order there and then so that they weren't waiting which was a good idea. Waitress asked who 'the one' was that was needing GF (as we had advised of dietary requirements in advance)....my SIL and BIL said they were and my SIL also reminded the waitress she was dairy free too. They were told that she could have extra fruit and that there was no GF pancake option (another family member is also gluten free so he also couldn't have the pancakes). The waitress later advised that the GFs could have 1 option only on the alternate drop menu which was a bit strange because all options could actually be modified to accommodate those dietary requirements, especially when provided in advance. The shared adult pancakes arrived which looked amazing but were dry underneath... the staff provided extra syrup when asked. Only a few berries with the pancakes to share around the table but came with 2 bowls of fruit (melon, papaya, etc). We finished the pancakes but the kids pancakes still hadn't arrived. When I asked the waitress where the kids pancakes were she immediately said they were coming even though she hadn't left to check. When she returned, still no pancakes for the kids! When she came back again a few minutes later I asked again where the kids pancakes were and then she actually went to check. The alternate drop started to come out but only the avocado toast was served...staff asked who was having it! We didn't know as we weren't sure what was coming out given that there 3 alternate drop meals on the menu and there were 5 adults having this (2 others were GF & the 2 kids had their own). Then scrambled eggs arrived 10 mins later, then the eggs Benedict 5 mins after that, by which point the scrambled eggs were getting cold. Why wouldn't you give people the choice of the 3 meals as opposed to alternate drop? Then everyone knows who is having what! Rather than working out who is having what when the meals don't all come together and it's 3 meals at an alternative drop so you're also unsure how many of each you are getting! As a group of 5 adults which were we getting just 1 of?! The food was average. Given that it was $45pp for breakfast, and having eaten at Bathers for dinner previously and having been impressed, we expected more bang for the buck. We were also charged 15% service surcharge (10% for being a weekend & 5% for being a larger group) which is fine in concept, but the service was woeful and the fee, unjust. The staff were very welcoming to the kids but sadly this isn't enough and we wouldn't return based on this experience and we wouldn't recommend to others.
