I was really excited to find a German restaurant that also did gluten-free for my wife. When asking about their processess, the server said they did not have a dedicated fryer for the gluten-free but that the temperatures would kill anything. For those who don't know, gluten can't be killed. It's a protein that has to be washed away. We talked about how serious it was, and the server said they could pan fry the schnitzel. We went ahead and ordered it, and the schnitzel came out with picks that indicated it was gluten-free. However, my wife got extremely sick after eating. She got a fair amount of gluten in the meal. I do not recommend it. Now about the food, the sauerkraut was really good and the potato salad was good. The Jagerschnitzel was subpar at best. I have had much better schnitzel. The atmosphere was nice, and the server, although not really knowledgeable about celiac, was extremely pleasant.
