Beach Street Deli

We visited the cafe today with a group of adults living with disabilities. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We were offered a biscuit straight from the oven at no additional cost and when staff were informed that one of our clients could not eat it due to safe eating requirements, they found something that she could have so she was not excluded. Such an inclusive practice and was so amazing to see! Also, their gluten free brownie is delicious 😋

I paid $15.90 for one tiny piece of gluten free toast with avo and tomatoes and a bit of feta cheese. Ridiculous. No smile when I was served, my toast was stale bread - there was no way it had been toasted even though I called the owner Darren and told him and he said “I toasted it myself”… no you didn’t mate it was stale bread. And instead of offering to remake it for me he offered me a refund. “Apologies for that” he said, with total apathy. This isn’t my first bad experience. Won’t be going there again.
