We were pretty bummed this visit. The gluten-free pizza is usually awesome, but this time the crust was lukewarm and kind of odd, like it hadn’t fully cooked—even though the toppings were fine. The mushroom appetizer was also tiny, which was surprising. Our server was super nice but so busy that by the time she checked on us, we were already ready to leave.

Here’s the down and dirty because I’m not an IG influencer: The smell wrangled us in from 2 blocks down yonder and will likely be your guide to the front doors as well. Beau Jo’s has great pizza and you won’t want to skip out on it. If you choose to skip out on it, check yourself for other symptoms of hypoxia. Mountain style is basically adding a twisted order of breadsticks to the crust that encircle it like barbed wire on an old fence post. It goes great with the honey on your table and is satisfying to hold. My wife has poor genetics and cannot eat gluten, but Beau Jo has magic crust that people with bad genes can also eat. I tried it, it’s good for magic crust. You might be concerned about carbs and calories, but rest assured, *Carbs don’t count in Colorado.* Patio seating was a pleasant spot to let 7500ft of elevation downshift my day drinking into economy mode. Chase is a great waitress and we really enjoyed her vibes. Her fun, bubbly attitude really completed it all. Good service is increasingly rare now, so thanks Chase. Tl;dr eat at Beau Jo’s

The original! All Beau Jos are amazing but this one is just a little bit better. Maybe its the rustic mountain atmosphere or the extra friendly staff but I swear the foods just a little but better. I never make a trip to the area without hitting this place up once of not twice. Best gluten free cheese bread I've ever had, excellent gf and regular pizza, and my favorite the turkey melt or the Canadian club sandwich! This town and this restaurant are a must!
