I used to live within ten miles of this location, and I frequented it often. Now that I live about an hour away, eating here is a special treat. I'm happy to say that it's still worth the drive to have a meal here.
The Breaded Aged Provolone Wedges, served with marinara for dipping, are my favorite from Beer Barrel's ample starters and shareables menu. Likewise, they offer a wide variety of pizzas - including deep dish, traditional, and thin and crispy. Cauliflower and gluten-free crusts are also available for people with special dietary needs and preferences. I've never had a disappointing pizza from here. They make their own dough, and they don't skimp on the toppings.
I tend to stick with pizza when dining here now that my visits are limited. The other entrees here were hit and miss back when I ate here more frequently, but I'm guessing the kitchen staff has changed significantly since I last tried any of them.
This is a fun place to dine with friends. Parking is ample, and it's a large place where you can usually be seated quickly. The bar area is also a comfortable and pleasant area to eat while watching sports. The restrooms are clean and well maintained.
