Bella Cafe and Grille at Chevy Chase

If you have food allergies, you know the drill: you order a salad, cry a little inside, and hope the kitchen doesn’t accidentally try to murder you with a crouton. But Bella Cafe and Grille? They understood the assignment. Not only did they take my gluten and dairy allergies seriously, they actually made me a meal that was delicious, satisfying, and didn’t taste like “I might be itchy later.” And let’s talk about Ellie, the bartender. This woman is a national treasure. Above and beyond doesn’t even cover it—she somehow made me feel like both Beyoncé and Julia Child in one sitting. Drinks? Perfect. Service? Incredible. Honestly, I’m not sure if I want to come back for the food or just to see Ellie again. And not to mention server Ian was an amazing side kick to her incredible service 💖 If you’re looking for a place that won’t accidentally poison you, and will instead make you feel like royalty, Bella Cafe and Grille is it.

Bella Cafe is hands down my favorite restaurant in Lexington!! My family and I go weekly! The staff members are so kind to my kids and are always very attentive. The food is consistently amazing. We love the European brunch buffet with homemade pastries and the best yogurt ever. The burger is 10/10. The bolognese and roasted chicken are other favorites of ours. The only change I would make is different options for the Spinach Artichoke dip. We wish there was a gluten free flatbread option or something other than the crostinis! Otherwise we are always so happy with our experience at Bella!!
