Absolutely fantastic! There were 4 of us and our friend's dog, looking for somewhere to eat on New Year's Eve, and our friend suggested Ben's. I'm gluten intolerant so always worry about what's on offer for me, but as it turns out all the batter is gluten free. They don't advertise as such because those who aren't gluten free could be put off by it, thinking it won't be nice. But all my friends, who can eat gluten, loved it. It isn't any different, other than being better.... the batter is so light and suits the fresh fish perfectly! As well as 3x large cod and chips and cod bites,we also had curry sauce, mushy peas, gherkin, pickled onions, a bottle of picpoul wine, a cider and beer. It was reasonably priced, the service was wonderful and the food was incredible. A perfect NYEs meal 😋
