Berkshire Mountain Bakery Pizza Cafe

This review is exclusive to the available bread: Coming to a local bakery I think a general expectation is product superceding grocery store made bread or at least meeting its quality and taste. Crudely, the Gluten free bread is terrible and the Ciabatta acceptable. It was expressed that their baguette was similar to the Ciabatta so I'm not optimistic about that either. The gluten free bread is a tasteless sponge of mealy dry sand with no form aside from the crust. The ciabatta was saltless. Regrettable, but I hope they do better

We get pizza or baked goods here regularly -- sometimes multiple times in a week. There many things we really love about this place, which is why we keep going back. The menu is creative and selections of pizza and pastries are all interesting and yummy. Aura is also great to work with in terms of ordering baked goods in advance, and she is especially skilled at making gluten-free options ***that do not taste gluten-free.*** We are a fan of the take-and-bake pizzas, and heating up pastries ourselves. Lately we've also been trying some of their prepared frozen complete meals, which have actually been pretty darn good! Really the only thing we're not crazy about is the coffee....but that's a minor sacrifice compared to the enormous pleasures we get from patronizing Berkshire Mountain Bakery.
