Bernice's Bakery

This is my go to place for breakfast and has been for years when visiting family in Missoula. Just had their ruby croissant (rhubarb and berry) and it was exceptional. Gluten muffins and cookies are available too. Great views of the Platte river in a lovely part of town. You will only be disappointed if they are closed!

Bernice's Bakery made delicious gluten free cake and accommodated our dietary needs and even delivered for a very reasonable price for a long distance. The only downsides were that it was incredibly difficult to get a hold of the person who was in charge of the wedding cakes (there is only one person), so we played phone tag for over a week and half. They also messed up the cake tasting box and didn't put any gluten free options in it when we specifically asked for them, but they were kind enough to get a new box to us within that same day. They also don't put any decorations such as berries or flowers on the cake for any reason unless you provide it yourself. And you must provide your own cake stand unless you want to pay a large fee to rent one, but you do get your money back if brought back in good condition. Overall, a good experience, but could have better customer service.

About a year ago we found out that my daughter has celiac disease. we have been working hard to find places were she can eat things that a normal kid would be able to. We were in Missoula for the weekend and wanted to find her something. thankfully Bernices was close. the bakery it very nice and super cute. the staff member was super friendly and helpful with our questions. we got some cookies and cupcakes they we all amazing. I would definitely recommend but would suggest getting there early because at the end of the day things are a little limited.
