Berowra Waters Inn

After decades of planning and dreaming to visit this Sydney classic we finally made it, and the food, and experience did not disappoint. Half the thrill of Berowra Waters is the setting and getting here. The drive down the winding, scenic road to the ferry, the water taxi to the restaurant passing the boats, and then the arrival at the gorgeous historic building. Every table has an unobstructed view of the water and the national park, and the food, of course, was just sublime. It was about 3 hours before we finished and every dish was a delight. The wine list was thoughtful and contained a decent number by the glass (important if you’re driving back), and the restaurant had no problems adjusting the degustation menu for a celiac (3 of the dishes were either replaced or adjusted). A once in a lifetime experience everyone should splash out on for a big event. But one tip – for the full experience come for a lunch, or an early dinner in Summer so you can enjoy the view and properly experience this incredible venue.
