Amazing gluten free egg and bacon roll, each mouthful was a taste delight. We got to sit in front of the open fire while our table was getting ready. My partner had the beef bourgignon pie special which included truffle mash and was very happy with it. I recommend trying the mash with some of the bacon from the roll. It's exceptionally good!

We lucked upon this place on one of the days it is open to the public. Food was delicious and obviously cooked fresh. The chicken burger was fantastic and the gluten free chicken wrap was also brilliant. The chocolate tart, while slow to come, was also yummy and clearly fresh. Over half of the menu is gluten free or can be made so. A staff member (I believe the GM) took us down to the old convict areas and showed us around very enthusiastically! Clearly knew his stuff and the history is very interesting. Would highly recommend if you are in the area and are looking for a nice sit down lunch in a lovely place.
