Bethany Blues

We've been going to the Bethany Blues on Route 1 near Lewes for several years while on our annual Rehoboth Beach trip. The food and service is always excellent, but I'm writing this review to give them the credit they deserve for being amazing with gluten restrictions/celiac. Every single time, when I mention my gluten free diet, a manager is sent to our table and is very knowledgeable about their gluten free options. I have been gluten free since 2008 and eat out multiple times a week so I can attest that this place is definitely one of the best in handling this restriction. While most restaurants are familiar with GF diets these days, not many make a point to train their management on it and have such a consistent plan in place (they also said they now offer a gluten free bun which is great). I had the pulled pork with cheesy creamed corn and a chopped salad and it was delicious and a generous portion. Thanks, Bethany Blues, for being so accommodating!

Thank you for your commitment to dietary restrictions! I have celiac disease and when I told the waitress she knew exactly what I was talking about and let the manager know. The manager then came over to make sure the food I chose was gluten free and was overall fantastic No other restaurant in Sussex county has been this amazing since my diagnosis. Their attitude about food safety is absolutely the bar everyone should strive for.
