We came here because I've had it on the list for coeliac friendly things when we are driving down the M5. Having never been here before I didn't understand the menu, when the very friendly gent on the register asked what salad I wanted with my deconstructed yiros, I said "just the onion and parsley please", because they state yiros come with tomato, onion, etc. and I don't like it so I just asked for the onion I could see in the prep area.
When I received it, it had Greek salad with cheese all over it on the plate, and when I said to the blonde lady I asked for just onion, she got really rude and threw the chips and meat in a dump on another plate and was all "We don't do that!" If you don't, why ask? Sitting down and reading the menu 100 times over again, I realise that the salad on the deconstructed is the salad in the cabinets, and not the salad that they label out for the yiros. Easy mistake, but the reaction from the woman was like I asked for something they don't have. And the plate was such a mess I had to order extra chips to satisfy my child who is the coeliac and didn't want to eat it looking like a tip (because neurodivergent kids are annoying like that).
Lovely food and with coealic options low on the ground we will come again, but will know to specify in future with a PowerPoint presentation and interpretive dance to hopefully avoid her wrath again.
