I think the new owners have done a fabulous job, not only revamping the menu which is much more flavorful and delicious than when we visited the establishment last year under prior ownership, we were pleasantly surprised! The other thing they changed was the days/hours of operation and that was a reason we only visited the previous year only twice because the hours/days were very inconvenient. They also provide free ice tea for guests which I think is very nice touch. We like that they are now open on the weekends and we go often,i would say we’ve been there about 5 -6 times in the last month and a half since we discovered they are under new owners and what a delight it has been to find a place that serves good food and extremely large portions in Oroville,we always take home leftovers! The desserts are homemade,not bought premade by a restaurant supplier,and the salted caramel apple pie they made at thanksgiving was so good we came back for another piece that week! It’s seems that when we have been there the owners have been couples (I think there are few who own it together)who work together so they seem very caring about the customers and are very helpful with I asked for anything, or will give suggestions when I ask questions about the menu. I find the atmosphere pleasant,all around a very pleasant experience! Update: I returned and told them I had diet restrictions (gluten and dairy free) the owners are very helpful and gave me a run down of what to avoid,but thankfully all the meant and seasoning are free of gluten as are the bbq sauces! The coleslaw has no milk,just mayo so I was able to eat that they give great big portions so be aware when you order. The brisket is to die for,and they serve it on Sat/Sun,it’s worth trying! My favorite!
