I recently went to Biga in Milan, in the lively Isola neighborhood, and the experience was overall pleasant, although with some reservations.
The staff is one of the real strengths: welcoming, smiling and always available to accommodate any request, even the most specific ones. A service that immediately puts you at ease and makes the environment very hospitable.
The appetizer really deserves a special mention: a mix of crispy and light fried foods, fresh and carefully selected products. The choice of vegetarian and gluten-free options is also excellent, which shows attention to all dietary needs.
Moving on to the pizza, the ingredients used are certainly quality, but unfortunately the dough did not convince me entirely. In my personal taste, I found it too rubbery, with a consistency that makes chewing less pleasant, despite the inviting appearance.
In short, Biga is a place that shines for hospitality and attention to side dishes, but which - as far as pizza is concerned - might not meet the taste of those looking for a lighter or crispier dough. It is still a good place for an evening with friends, especially if you appreciate the variety and quality of the appetizers.
