This is my new favorite place to eat in Hoboken! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the people are absolutely lovely. I feel like this restaurant is just the right scale (no more than forty-two people are allowed by fire safety regulations) to get the attentive and personalized attention you need. The wait time for anything was very short, and the whole experience was very smooth and enjoyable. For a wine bar, the setting is not snooty or exclusive. Walking into this place you are hit by the open kitchen's aroma, and the warm lighting puts you at ease. I passed on wine, and they were still very happy to serve me. I ordered the grilled octopus (for the first time in my life) and the grilled beet dishes. The octopus tasted like the best chicken you've ever had, and the beet salad was very smooth with a yogurt type dressing and avocados and citrus to add a splash surprise taste. I appreciate that most of their menu is gluten free, and everything aside from the wine is reasonably priced. I plan on returning as soon as possible. With very little culinary knowledge or cooking experience, I can feel like a foodie here. I don't know what it is about this place, but something about it just feels right. I walked by a couple weeks ago when I was seeking out other restaurants for hosting a wedding, and I was immediately drawn in by the intimate scale and warmth that seems to saturate the whole place. Just walking by this restaurant gave me an entirely different impression than any of the other restaurants in Hoboken. I returned today to eat at Bin14, and I have become a fan! Thank you so much for an entirely satisfying experience that I will not soon forget. :) My only criticism is the name...'Bin' does not really do the distinguished and satisfying experience of eating here much justice.
