Nice locally fresh sandwiches, soups, and some other options. Gluten free bread for sandwiches and desserts are options to for those that need it. Polite staff and quaint setting in downtown Lakeland.

Every time I have gone in I have not been disappointed. I usually go to the downtown location but last time I was visiting the art museum across the way with my son. It was perfect, we walked around the museum, enjoyed the art and walked across to the Black and Brew located at the Library. It was fall and so they had their yummy Fall specials. Because I’m gluten free and prefer dairy alternatives it can be hard to order drinks and desserts at places. But not at Black and Brew. Not only do they have a gluten friendly and vegan friendly menu to peruse, their GF triple chocolate brownie and Apple Pie Latte with oat milk still has me salivating when I reflect back on that perfect Fall afternoon with my son. We sat outside in the dedicated seating area, enjoyed the brisk wind, warm sunshine, and delicious treats. Although I will have to admit my son ended up finishing my drink and brownie because I was on sugar overload😆 The funny thing was he kept saying you can’t even tell this is GF. Love this place! If you have kids, even grown up ones like mine is, you will enjoy this place.
