I'm convinced small towns have the best restaurants, Black Forest is a gem! We loved the themed building and staff. The decor was whimsy and very German, obviously! We started woth table buns (they had a Gluten Free bun when I asked!) served with 2 kinds of whipped butter, I started with a delicious, crisp and fresh ceasar salad, and we each enjoyed delicious entrees. Our server was so great, very attentive, and friendly. Definitely give this place a try!

We were skiing in Panorama for a few days and decided to check out the Black Forest as it was gluten-free and I love old world European anything. We were very happy! The gluten free options were in abundance. My family enjoyed the regular fair. They brought out bread first (warm GF bun for me). I had the gluten-free schnitzel Oscar which was delicious. It was tender, cooked and sauced perfectly. For dessert I had the Creme de Caramel which was light and just the right balance of cream and sweet. They have a dedicated fryer for those with allergies. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was how long old dishes hung around. We gobbled up our Breads and salad and the dishes hung around until dinner. Nothing to dire but when you are fine dining you don't want dishes hanging around.
