We had been hearing how good Blackbird was for a while, and finally had to see for ourselves. From the moment we walked in to the time we left, the service was impeccable. We felt like we were VIPs the entire time. Gabriel and Arianna were fantastic. Our server, Jake, was attentive in just the right way.
We started with drinks. My boyfriend drinks wine, and they had an exceptional wine selection. I had a Pho King Good cocktail which was AMAZING made with Tito’s, Keke keylime pie cream liqueur, egg white, pho syrup, Thai basil, lemon and pineapple.
Then there’s the food! Unbelievably innovative and soo delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes - Korean pickles, the brisket Bao bun, King Pao calamari, hamachi crispy rice, and burnt ends fried rice. Everything was amazing.
The best part for me is that I cannot eat gluten, and they had a gluten-free menu and were able to make most everything gluten-free. They use tamari sauce in all the gluten-free dishes. They are very educated about food allergies. I didn’t even notice I was eating gluten-free. Everything was so tasty.
To end this amazing dinner, we had the toasted coconut sundae which was coconut gelato with candied peanuts, toasted coconut, miso caramel, and whipped cream. It was a very generous portion enough for both of us. Oh my gosh it was decadent and so good.
We couldn’t ask for anything better in a restaurant. Blackbird provides elite food, drinks, and service. We’ll definitely be back!
