Blue Heaven

After talking to my waiter several times and making sure that they were able to accommodate gluten/ celiacs. I ended up getting the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and corn. It was really good and haven't seemed to have a reaction. A red wine sauce comes on top of the steak. This did stress me out because it kinda looks like gravy. But the waiter assured me it was not. Personally, I was not a big fan of the sauce. I loved the atmosphere of the space. It felt more laid-back than other restaurants in Key West. You got chickens running around, live music, and it's under big trees so it's nice and shaded. Everyone's meals looked so delicious. -The staff was extremely nice but I wasn't too assured that they fully understand gluten/celiacs. They kept saying everything could be made to be gluten-free. As someone with celiacs that seems too good to be true. My food was great, but others were disappointed as things have changed. Either new cooks or different owners? Not sure as this was my first time there. Atmosphere is lovely. Service was awesome. I had fruit with yogurt and granola. Gluten free. No real gluten free options or vegan. But I liked the atmosphere. Fun and whimsical.

My favorite dining spot in Key West. During my weeklong stay, we visited for dinner on the patio twice, and breakfast in the dining room twice. The atmosphere was sensational both indoors and out. The menu was creative and adventurous. The food was expertly prepared and served. The patio had live music by exceptional performers. I’m a symptomatic celiac (gluten allergy) and had no issues. Almost everything they offered could be prepared gluten free. Blue Heaven was food heaven!
