Bluefish Kitchen + Bar

We stopped at Bluefish for lunch on our first day in Manistee, and we went back for lunch the very next day! The views from the back deck are serene, the staff is very nice, but more than anything the food is phenomenal. We enjoyed the white fish both blackened and pan seared, the smoked salmon deviled eggs, the burger (amazing gluten free bun), and the smoked fish dip. Their cocktails are also incredibly tasty. We will be back the next time we are in Manistee!

This review is based on food alone. I do not want to get into the feel of the place, as there are so many similar places in my opinion. I have food allergies so i pay attention to menu items looking for wording that tells me the food is safe for me. This establishment states that they have pan seared chicken so i ordered that. It came out breaded. No problem, ill send it back, let them know i really prefer and can only eat grilled, and it comes back breaded, but gluten free. The staff was very apologetic, but said that the "chef" pan sears using breading. Pan seared is not breaded and fried. Ever. I ended up eating food in my hotel from meijer. The beef tips on my husband's salad were grainy with too much seasoning. Ill Air B&b next time i visit so i can cook my own food.
