We went to the Bluewater Grill to celebrate our anniversary and had high expectations because it had been here so long, was always busy, and had good reviews. We, however, do not plan to return. It had a weird vibe when we walked in. Chairs were extremely uncomfortable (very low to the tables and they have one skinny bar across the back that we found unpleasant to lean back against). I needed a gluten and dairy free option and the options seemed very limited as there is butter, cheese, cream sauce, and/or gluten on so many items. I ordered salmon and they said the chef would use a glaze that was gluten and dairy free. The salmon was cooked just right but the glaze had almost no flavor. The broccoli that came with it was extremely hard (couldn't even cut parts of it with a knife!) and inedible as well as unseasoned and bland. The asparagus was also hard, bland, and inedible. I let our server know about the vegetables but was not offered an alternative or reduction on the bill. It turned out to be quite expensive for a slice of salmon (since I couldn’t eat the sides/veggies). My husband had paella and it was very good. We had expected a lot more fresh fish/seafood, and contemporary options. Being a fresh fish/seafood restaurant, we’d also expected more non gluten/dairy free options. We will not go here again. We’ve since gotten much better salmon and better cooked and seasoned vegetables at other restaurants and not nearly as expensive as this place.
